CELTIC PLOTTING MOVE FOR JUNKER

Reports coming out of Japan claimed that Scottish Premiership club Celtic are one of six teams on the trail of Danish striker Kasper Junker who plays his club for Urawa Reds in the Japanese top flight.

Kasper has been one of the best strikers in the top division with nine goals in 20 games as far as league football is concerned. His long-term future at Urawa Reds is in doubt with his contract set to expire next year. To this effect, Urawa Reds will have to sanction his saleat the start of next year if they don’t reach an agreement on a new deal with clubs such as Celtic andothers interested in him. Interested clubs can sign Kasper in the January transfer window as long as they meet the required transfer fee for him.

Danish striker Kasper made his name at Bodo Glimtin the Norwegian top flight. Bodo Glimt previously provided players such as Stefan Johansen, Kris Ajer, Mikael Lustig.

A new striker is said to be a transfer target for Scottish Premiership club Celtic ahead of the winter transfer window in the coming weeks. Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is keen to sign a new attacking options to complete KyogoFuruhashi with Swiss striker Albian Ajeti currently not in the plans of the manager, while GiorgiosGiakoumakis still finding his feet in the Scottish Championship.

On Kasper, Japanese media outlet Sakanowa revealed that the striker is excited with the interest coming from the English Premier League and the Scottish Premiership. Scottish top flight side Celtic and English Championship Derby County aresome of the six teams interested in him.

Celtic have actively looked for players in the Japanese league after the success of KyogoFuruhashi who joined the club from Vissel Kobe in the first division. The Europa League campaigners have also been linked with Daizen Maeda of Yokohama F. Marinos.
